THE V3 TEAM

Jason Van Voorhis

Jason Van Voorhis is CEO and Founder of V3 Talent Partners Inc. and believes in changing the way agencies are viewed in the tech industry.

As Head of Engineering Recruiting for Snap Inc., Jason was deeply concerned with how agencies “spray and pray” the market and lacked basic fundamentals to recruiting. V3 is the evolution of bad practice. While at Snap, Jason scaled engineering from 30 to 1500 people, and managed Diversity & Inclusion, University Programs, and was involved with Leadership hiring and M&A research.

Prior to Snap Inc., Jason worked at Google hiring Software Engineers across all Google’s key product areas as well as managing the integration of Nest M&A talent acquisition strategy. He considers Google and Snap Inc. his PHD in recruiting.

In his spare time, Jason enjoys taking his dog Toby to the park, taking friends fishing around the Catalina Islands, getting his butt kicked at Jiu-Jitsu, and saying YES to things that put him far outside his comfort zone. Jason embodies authenticity, vulnerability, and being a loving person. These are core values to V3 and has led to successful partnerships throughout his career.

Todd O’Neil

At V3 Talent Partners, Todd leads searches across Product, Engineering, and HR/Operations functions. His practice is nationwide but much of his work is concentrated in Silicon Valley, Los Angeles.
Prior to V3 Talent Partners Todd was at Signal/Fortis Partners where he led both Engineering and Product searches for companies including Houzz, Snapchat, Illumio, Tinder, Match.com, Kabam.
Originally from Boston, Todd calls Los Angeles home. He earned a Degree in Business from American International College where he was a Captain of the Div 1. Hockey Team. Outside of the office enjoys hanging outdoors and sampling all the great restaurants and red wine LA has to offer.

Shannae Brydon

Shannae flew 14 hours to join the V3 team. In Sydney, Australia, Shannae worked for a large Data Analytics company, CoreLogic, where she gained incredible experience working closely with their Software Engineering & Data Analytics teams.

Responsible for managing all of the recruitment across Australia & New Zealand, she placed a large emphasis on strategic sourcing and employer brand initiatives to secure the best talent for CoreLogic. Within her first year, she closed 132 roles, with only 32% being sourced through direct applications. Through effective stakeholder management and building strong internal relationships, she aimed to advise, guide and assist managers on best practice recruitment; removing the “cookie-cutter” approach to sourcing talent.

Having then progressed through to an HR Business Partner role, she worked closely with her respective executives and senior leaders in order to help them achieve their people strategies. For Shannae, this experience emphasized the sheer importance in finding the right “fit” for both the company, team and the candidate.

Outside of work, Shannae loves to travel. She believes that opening your mind, heart, and arms to new experiences and uniting in differences provides invaluable growth, in both a personal and professional sense. She loves to build relationships, wants to see everyone succeed and understands the trials and tribulations in relocating for an incredible opportunity. Helping others find their perfect ‘next step’ is why she loves recruiting.

Jake Flohr

Jake Flohr is the Co-Founder of V3 Talent Partners. He leads the internal V3 team as well as strategic searches across Engineering, Product, HR, Marketing, and Finance. His practice is nationwide, but much of his focus is in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.

Jake spent the first 7 years of his career in sales as an Account Executive at Rockwell Automation and OSIsoft. Working closely with the leadership teams of his customers, he was able to combine his technical background and problem-solving skills to deliver valuable solutions and improve their businesses on multiple levels

Jake earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo and now calls Southern California home. He enjoys spending time exploring the world (and watching movies on the couch) with his wife, Erica.

Jessica Girard

Jessica is an interdisciplinary entrepreneur. She believes that the strongest assets of any company is its people, and has an unquenchable thirst for learning what makes people tick.

Jessica has been building successful teams since 2014. First taking on California’s intense drought, she became the CEO for Manifest Building, Santa Barbara’s leading water-wise landscape construction company. In under 3 years, her team completed over 350 projects, which saved over 3.6 million gallons of water.

In 2017, she transitioned to become the VP of Membership for the Helena Group, a non-profit think tank focused on addressing issues of global importance. Jessica facilitated meetings between political figures, Fortune 500 executives, Nobel Laureates, and industry leaders which produced break-through initiatives and projects that addressed critical global issues, while simultaneously growing Helena’s internal team and membership by 160%.

In 2018, Jessica began recruiting C-suite executive talent for tech startups across the US. When she’s not placing premiere talent she’s actively involved in promoting Corporate Social Responsibility and environmental activism through global tree planting partnerships with Forest Nation. If she’s not interviewing someone she’s either dancing, cycling, traveling or hugging a tree.
